Dimension: 2 1/2 ft long by 2 1/2 ft wide by 5 inch

For this piece I really wanted to focus on the idea of growth and time. This relief sculpture is made out of one of my favorite mediums balsa wood. The balsa wood represents a natural and raw feeling. It has a hard exterior like myself but underneath the exterior is a delicate and soft foundation. Not only does this sculpture signify time by the way each wooden piece darts into different directions showing a form of growth, the sculpture in itself was a period of time where I could respond accordingly to my decisions. From the in progress pictures I started from one individual base and responded from there branching out in both vertical and horizontal directions. Over all I am very happy with how this piece came out it is by far one of my favorite that I have made.
